Lace up for an unforgettable journey through history and scenic waterways at the Neuse River Bridge Run on May 1-2, 2026, in picturesque New Bern, NC. This celebrated event, spanning over two decades, offers a distance for every runner, including a Half Marathon (13.1M), 10K, 5K, and a 1M SuperKids Fun Run.

The USATF-certified courses are renowned for their captivating scenery, winding through 300-year-old historic downtown New Bern and charming neighborhoods, offering magnificent views of the Neuse and Trent Rivers. While largely flat and fast, offering excellent potential for a personal best, the Half Marathon and 10K present an exciting challenge with a climb over the 65-foot tall Neuse River Bridge, an elevation gain of approximately 180 feet. Half Marathon participants will experience this bridge crossing twice, often greeted by a stunning sunrise over the river. All three longer races also traverse the George Cunningham Bridge.

Typical race day conditions in early May feature comfortable highs around 78°F and lows around 55°F, with a minimal 13% chance of precipitation, creating ideal running weather. Five water stations are strategically placed along the courses, with water and Powerade provided on the Half Marathon route to keep you hydrated. Finish your race strong on East Front Street in front of the Riverfront Convention Center, where a post-race celebration awaits. Beyond the personal accomplishment, your participation supports five vital local non-profit organizations, as the Neuse River Bridge Run proudly donates 100% of its net revenue to community causes.
