Scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2026, in Max Meadows, VA, this race offers a distinctive blend of biking, kayaking, and running along America's oldest river. Known as Virginia's longest and longest-running adventure triathlon, the event maintains a cherished "family feel" while attracting competitors from across the country.

The challenge begins with a 40-mile out-and-back bike leg, starting from Foster Falls Amphitheater, traversing the flat, crushed cinder surface of the New River Trail. This scenic path, part of the "Rails to Trails" project, follows an abandoned railroad right-of-way, featuring two stone tunnels and 33 bridges and trestles, including the notable Jackson Ferry Shot Tower and Foster Falls Historic District.
