Ninja 5K, 10K, and 13.1M

Lace up for an exciting challenge at the Ninja 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon, taking place in Athens, GA, on Saturday, August 8, 2026. This popular event offers runners the choice of a 5K, 10K, or 13.1M distance, all kicking off bright and early at 8:00 AM EDT. Get ready for an invigorating experience with a vibrant atmosphere, designed for runners of all levels to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Clarke County.

The Ninja races feature an out-and-back course, with the 5K completing one loop, the 10K tackling two loops, and the Half Marathon challenging participants with four repetitions of the scenic route. All finishers will be awarded a unique, themed medal to commemorate their accomplishment, and while not mandatory, costumes are highly encouraged to add an extra layer of fun to the day. This event is also a prime opportunity to earn points towards the prestigious US Road Running Race Series. Be prepared for typical race day conditions in early August, with highs around 92°F and lows around 70°F, and a 15% chance of precipitation.

Runners should note that packet pickup begins 30 minutes before the race and closes 10 minutes prior to the start. All registrations must be completed online via RunSignup, as on-site registration will not be available. A generous time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes is in place for all distances, allowing participants ample time to complete their chosen challenge.
