NM SHAMROCK SHUFFLE 10K, 5K RUN OR WALK, 2-MILE WALK & KIDS K

Get ready to celebrate St. Patrick's season with the 21st Annual NM Shamrock Shuffle on March 15, 2026, in sunny Rio Rancho, NM! This festive road race offers a distance for every runner and walker, from the competitive 10K and 5K to a leisurely 2-Mile Walk and an exciting Kids K. Participants are encouraged to don their best green attire to join in this lively annual tradition.

The courses are known for being fast and flat, making them ideal for achieving a personal best or enjoying a comfortable pace. All races will finish on the west side parking lot of Loma Colorado Park, which also serves as the central event location. The 10K begins just north of the Rio Rancho Aquatic Center, while the 5K starts across Loma Colorado Blvd. and Loma Colorado Park, and the 2-Mile Walk kicks off from the north side of Loma Colorado Park near the west parking lot. Aid stations will be positioned along the routes, providing water for 5K participants and both water and Powerade for those tackling the 10K. Typical race day conditions in mid-March feature comfortable highs around 64F and lows around 32F, with a very low chance of precipitation.

Runners can anticipate a well-organized event, with previous participants praising the "fantastic" weather and the organizers' ability to reroute the course effectively when needed. All entrants will receive a stylish event t-shirt and a finisher medal, with age group and overall awards presented to top performers.
