NM Shamrock Shuffle

Get ready to paint Rio Rancho green at the 21st Annual NM Shamrock Shuffle on Sunday, March 15, 2026! This festive road race invites runners and walkers of all levels to kick off the St. Patrick's season with an invigorating challenge. Choose from the popular 10K or the scenic 4-mile distance, with options also available for a 5K, 2-mile walk, and a Kids K, ensuring a perfect fit for every participant.

Known for its fast and flat courses, the NM Shamrock Shuffle provides an excellent opportunity to chase a personal best or simply enjoy a comfortable outing. All races culminate at the west side parking lot of Loma Colorado Park, which serves as the central event hub. The 10K race begins just north of the Rio Rancho Aquatic Center, while other distances have their own designated starting points near Loma Colorado Park. Aid stations are strategically placed along the routes, offering water for all participants and both water and Powerade for those tackling the 10K. Expect typical race day conditions in mid-March to be ideal for running, with comfortable highs around 64°F and lows around 32°F, accompanied by a very low chance of precipitation.

Participants consistently praise the event's fantastic organization and the enjoyable atmosphere. Embracing the spirit of St. Patrick's Day, runners are encouraged to don their finest green attire.
