Runners will navigate an approximately 8.34-mile out-and-back paved loop along the scenic Thermal Belt Rail Trail, starting and finishing at the Pavilion on Park Square (POPS) in Forest City. With a remarkably flat profile featuring only about 95 feet of elevation change per loop, this course is welcoming to both seasoned ultrarunners chasing big mileage and new athletes or walkers tackling their first endurance challenge. Roughly 35% of the route offers shade, providing some relief from the typical race day conditions, which usually see highs around 85°F and lows around 63°F, with a 15% chance of precipitation.

Well-stocked aid stations provide water, electrolytes, and various food choices, with a main hub at POPS in Forest City and an additional aid station in Spindale. Drop bags are available for transport to the Spindale aid station, and support crews are welcome to assist runners in the designated Forest City aid station area. Medical personnel will also be on-site in Forest City for any assistance needed.
