This premier regional running event, held annually on Labor Day weekend, offers a unique blend of small-town charm and big-city race amenities. Participants can choose between a challenging 13.1-mile half marathon or a spirited 5K run/walk. Typical race day conditions feature pleasant weather, with highs around 77°F and lows around 53°F, and a low chance of precipitation.

The Half Marathon course, a mix of 40% paved and 60% dirt roads, winds through the National Historic Landmark District of Geneseo before venturing into the breathtaking Genesee Valley. Runners will be treated to spectacular scenery, passing ancient 300-year-old oak savannahs, serene sheep pastures, and picturesque horse farms. The 5K, an equally engaging experience, features paved roads closed to traffic, showcasing Geneseo's historic residential streets and vibrant business district. Both races culminate with an exciting finish on the track at Geneseo Central School, which also serves as the hub for packet pickup and post-race festivities.
