Embark on a meaningful journey at the Officer Christopher Reeves Scholarship 5K, set to take place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, in Millville, NJ. This inspiring event goes beyond a typical race, serving as a powerful tribute to Officer Christopher Reeves, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty. Since 2014, the Millville Police Department has honored his memory by awarding scholarships to deserving graduating seniors from Millville Senior High School, with all race proceeds directly supporting these educational endeavors. Runners and walkers can anticipate pleasant typical race day conditions, with highs around 70F and lows near 47F, accompanied by a low 14% chance of precipitation, creating an ideal setting for a spring event.

Beginning promptly at 9:00 AM from Rieck Avenue School, participants have the option of a 3.1-mile (5K) run or a 1.5-mile walk. The 5K course winds through the charming streets of Millville, offering a local tour, while the 1.5-mile walk provides a particularly touching experience, culminating at Officer Reeves' gravesite in the cemetery before walkers are conveniently shuttled back to the starting area.
