Runners can anticipate typical race day conditions to be warm and dry, with highs around 90F and lows around 50F, and only a 1% chance of precipitation, making for ideal trail conditions under the clear Oregon sky.

The 100-mile course is an instant classic, featuring roughly 10,900 feet of elevation gain and 11,400 feet of loss, with much of the climbing concentrated in the first 100 kilometers. It boasts approximately 78% single-track trails, including smooth, flowing sections in the shadow of Mount Bachelor before transitioning to more rugged terrain on the descent towards Sisters Country. The 50-mile option, starting at Swampy Lakes Sno-Park, presents a quicker challenge with about 4,000 feet of gain and 6,500 feet of loss, primarily on single-track trails.
