Participants will journey through the charming town to the peaceful grounds of the Morristown Cemetery, completing a small loop before returning, all on a route closed to traffic for a safe and enjoyable experience. Three well-placed water stops along the course will keep you refreshed, while typical race day conditions in late July see highs around 86°F and lows around 65°F, with a 14% chance of precipitation.
The P.O.G. Run/Walk stands out for its heartfelt mission and lively atmosphere. Honoring the legacy of Paul Otis Goble, a cherished Morristown High School track coach, proceeds directly support the Morristown Girls & Boys Cross Country and Track Teams and the Paul O. Goble Memorial Scholarship. Beyond the run, the "World Famous Kopper Kettle Inn Restaurant" hosts a fantastic post-race celebration, offering participants delicious beer, wings, cookies, and fruit in their beautiful outdoor garden dining area.
