Lace up for the ultimate Fort Worth trail adventure at the Panther City Ultra on April 4, 2026, hosted by Rise Racing Co. Set in the scenic Marion Sansom Park, this race offers distances for every runner, including a challenging 50K, 25K, 10K, and 5K. Participants can expect natural, unpaved paths, rocky sections, and dynamic elevation changes, with particularly steep climbs and descents near the river and waterfall areas. While the 5K route offers some pavement and is an easier introduction to the trails, the 10K, 25K, and 50K distances progressively ramp up in difficulty with more technical terrain and significant elevation. The longer distances are run on a looped course, with the 50K tackling five loops, the 25K completing three, and the 10K two.
Runners will be well-supported throughout their journey with full aid stations stocked with "Texas Style goodies" at two key locations along the course. Drop bags are permitted at the main aid station for convenient access, and crew members are welcome at both aid stations to cheer on their athletes. With a max capacity of 300 runners, the Panther City Ultra promises a focused and engaging race atmosphere. Each finisher will receive a custom medal and their choice of swag, commemorating their accomplishment. Typical race day conditions in early April feature comfortable highs around 75F and lows around 53F, with only an 11% chance of precipitation, providing an ideal climate for hitting the trails.
Whether you're pushing your limits in the ultra distances or enjoying a swift 5K, the Panther City Ultra delivers a memorable experience. The event kicks off with the 50K at 6:00 AM, followed by the 25K at 7:00 AM, the 10K at 7:30 AM, and the 5K at 8:00 AM, all starting from Pavilion #2 at Marion Sansom Park. This event is a fantastic opportunity to test your endurance on Fort Worth's diverse trails and immerse yourself in the vibrant local running community.
