Paper Chase 5K

Lace up for a meaningful run at the 11th annual Paper Chase 5K, set to take place on Saturday, February 28, 2026, in the heart of downtown Huntsville, Alabama. This popular 5K race offers a fantastic opportunity for runners and walkers of all levels to enjoy a scenic, USATF-certified course (AL18003JE) that winds through the beautiful streets of downtown Huntsville, starting at Constitution Village and continuing through the courthouse square and parts of Old Town. With typical race day conditions seeing highs around 61F and lows near 40F, and only an 18% chance of precipitation, participants can anticipate favorable weather for an enjoyable experience.

Beyond the scenic route, the Paper Chase 5K stands out as a powerful fundraiser for Free 2 Teach, a local non-profit dedicated to providing free supplies and resources to public school teachers and students in Madison County. The race fosters a casual and fun atmosphere, inviting families and friends to participate together. Adding to the excitement, the event features a school challenge, awarding $1,500 to the school with the most participants for their library or technology needs. Runners also have the chance to win tickets to local sports teams like the Savannah Bananas, Huntsville Havoc, Trash Pandas, or HCFC through a special raffle.
