Get ready for a deliciously fun and fast experience at the Parma Run-Walk for Pierogies, celebrating its 15th anniversary on Saturday, June 27, 2026, in Parma, OH. This beloved community event offers a 3.1-mile (5K) run or walk and a 1-mile walk, all taking place on the exceptionally flat course of the Tri-C Western Campus, making it an ideal race for personal bests or a relaxed stroll through pleasant scenery. Beyond the fitness, this race stands out for its deep commitment to local charities and community projects, with proceeds directly benefiting various worthy causes.
The Parma Run-Walk for Pierogies promises an atmosphere as warm as a freshly cooked pierogi, with typical race day conditions in late June seeing highs around 82°F and lows around 64°F, and only an 18% chance of precipitation. Participants will be greeted at the finish line with refreshing icy, wet towels, post-race snacks, and, of course, delicious pierogies from Perla Pierogies, along with a certificate for more free pierogies. The first 600 registrants are guaranteed a signature race t-shirt. For 2026, all participants will receive a special pierogie finisher award, and the top three male and female finishers in numerous age categories will also vie for the coveted pierogie necklace awards.
Held at the convenient Tri-C Western Campus, this well-organized event consistently earns praise from runners for its fun, family-friendly vibe and excellent support. Whether you're aiming for a new 5K record or simply want to enjoy a morning walk with friends and family while supporting the community, the Parma Run-Walk for Pierogies offers a unique and satisfying experience with a tasty reward waiting at the finish.
