Lace up for a cause at the annual Pink & Teal Challenge, returning to Rochester, NY, on Saturday, May 9, 2026. This inspiring event, hosted at Monroe Community College, offers participants the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by breast and gynecologic cancers, with all funds raised staying local to support the Breast Cancer Coalition's vital programs and services. Runners can tackle the 3.1-mile (5K) course, known for its fast and flat terrain, while walkers have the option of a 5K or a shorter 2-mile route. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual option allows participation from anywhere between May 8th and May 10th.

The Pink & Teal Challenge offers a vibrant and supportive atmosphere, encouraging participants to don their most creative pink and teal costumes for a chance to win prizes for best individual and team attire. Traditionally a women-only 5K run, the event has evolved to be more inclusive of the entire breast and gynecologic cancer community, offering a "One Lucky Runner" drawing for male and non-binary individuals to join the 5K run alongside inspiring women survivors and supporters. Children aged five and under can participate for free, making it a wonderful family-friendly occasion. Typical race day conditions in early May feature comfortable highs around 68°F and lows around 47°F, with a low chance of precipitation, providing ideal weather for a memorable race experience.

Join over a thousand participants at Monroe Community College, located at 1000 East Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY, for an uplifting day of movement and community. Remember to register in advance, as there will be no event day registration for in-person participants. Packet pickup will be available prior to the event at the Breast Cancer Coalition Office, with an additional option at MCC on race morning. This event is more than just a race; it's a powerful statement of support, hope, and community spirit.
