Pirate 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon

Ahoy, runners! Prepare to embark on an exhilarating journey at the Pirate 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon, setting sail in Richmond, Kentucky, on Saturday, April 11, 2026. This popular event offers distances for every level of runner, from a swift 5K sprint to a challenging 13.1-mile half marathon, all kicking off at 8:30 AM. Typical race day conditions in April offer pleasant temperatures, with highs around 70°F and lows near 44°F, and only a 19% chance of precipitation, providing ideal weather for a fantastic run.

The Pirate race promises a memorable experience along a scenic out-and-back course, starting at 500 White Hall Shrine Road. The 5K navigates two loops of a 0.78-mile out-and-back segment, while the 10K completes four loops. For those tackling the half marathon, the adventure extends over six loops of a longer 1.09-mile out-and-back route, offering ample opportunity to take in the surroundings. With a generous 3-hour and 30-minute time limit for the half marathon, you'll have plenty of time to conquer the course and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
