Pirate 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon

Set sail for a memorable running adventure at the Pirate 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon, taking place on April 4, 2026, in scenic Venice, Florida. Runners of all levels are invited to discover the natural beauty of Shamrock Park & Nature Center while tackling their chosen distance. Typical race day conditions in early April offer pleasant weather, with highs around 81°F and lows around 61°F, and only an 8% chance of precipitation, providing an ideal environment for a spirited race.

The courses for all three distances feature a welcoming out-and-back route, winding along a picturesque path that combines concrete and asphalt surfaces, offering a smooth and enjoyable run. The 5K completes one loop, the 10K two loops, and half marathoners will embark on four circuits of the 3.28-mile path. The race kicks off at 8:00 AM EDT, with the start line conveniently located behind the Nature Center, which also provides accessible restrooms. Participants have a generous 3-hour and 30-minute course time limit to complete their journey.
