Planet NY Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K

This vibrant event offers runners three distinct distances – a 13.1-mile Half Marathon, a 10K, and a 5K – all on a mostly flat, fast, and tree-lined course. Expect stunning vistas of the Unisphere and the diverse landscapes of Flushing Meadow Corona Park, with a few gentle uphill sections over an overpass providing expansive city views. The Half Marathon consists of four 3.27-mile loops, while the 10K covers two 3.1-mile loops, and 5K participants complete one 3.1-mile loop. Typical race day conditions in mid-September feature pleasant highs around 77°F and lows around 64°F, with a low 11% chance of precipitation, creating ideal running weather.

Runners will find excellent support throughout their journey, with aid stations positioned approximately every mile, fully stocked with water, Gatorade, and gels to keep you energized. Porta potties and public restrooms are conveniently located along the course. The race experience is enhanced with real-time chip timing for every loop, live tracking, and digital mapping, allowing friends and family to follow your progress and even send cheers via the RaceJoy app. Participants will receive a high-quality technical t-shirt and a die-cast finisher medal, with awards presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as age group winners.
