Pt. Pleasant Boro. Rotary Father’s Day 5k Run & 1-mile Fun Run

Lace up for a meaningful stride at the Pt. Pleasant Boro. Rotary Father’s Day 5k Run & 1-mile Fun Run, set to take place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, in scenic Point Pleasant Boro, NJ. This annual Father's Day tradition invites runners of all ages and abilities to participate in either a certified 5K or a relaxed 1-mile Fun Run, both starting and finishing at Community Park, located at the corner of Bridge Avenue & Beaver Dam Road. The 5K kicks off at 8:00 AM, followed by the Fun Run at 8:30 AM.

The course is renowned for being flat and fast, offering an excellent opportunity for personal bests as it winds its way through the picturesque Bay Head Shores section of the Boro, a route that has remained consistent since the race's inception in 2008. Participants can expect electronic timing for expedited results and refreshing post-race refreshments to celebrate their achievement. Typical race day conditions in late June bring highs around 84F and lows around 60F, with a 19% chance of precipitation, making for a potentially warm but enjoyable morning run.

Beyond the personal challenge, this event carries significant community impact. Hosted by the Rotary Club of Point Pleasant Boro, the race proudly supports various local Rotary charities and veteran projects. Since 2011, it has also honored local runner Kevin A. Brue, dedicating proceeds to the Melanoma Research Foundation in his memory, having donated tens of thousands of dollars to the cause. This commitment to "service above self" ensures a worthwhile and enjoyable experience for all involved, fostering community spirit while supporting vital causes. Awards are presented to the top male and female overall finishers, as well as the top three male and female finishers in each age group, including gift cards for the fastest 5K runners.
