PT the Pirate 5K

Lace up your shoes for the 6th annual PT the Pirate 5K, set to sail on Saturday, February 28, 2026, in scenic Greenville, North Carolina! This beloved event, hosted by East Carolina University's Physical Therapy Club, offers a fantastic opportunity to hit the trails and support a great cause. Runners and walkers can choose between a chip-timed 5K or a free 1 Mile Fun Run, with all proceeds directly benefiting the ECU Physical Therapy Club's student-run clinic and educational initiatives.

The 5K course navigates the beautiful trails of Wildwood Park, promising a refreshing and engaging experience for participants of all levels. The 1 Mile Fun Run kicks off at 8:30 AM, followed by the 5K race at 9:00 AM. Typical race day conditions in late February see comfortable highs around 60F and lows near 38F, with only a 14% chance of precipitation, making for ideal running weather.

Beyond the run, the PT the Pirate 5K is known for its vibrant post-race celebration. Participants can look forward to a festive atmosphere complete with complimentary food, engaging games, and free beer for those 21 and over.
