Race for Justice

Join the movement and make every stride count at the fifth annual Race for Justice, taking place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky. Hosted at the state-of-the-art Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center, this unique event transcends a typical race, serving as a powerful call for justice and unity within the community. Participants can tackle the 1.3-mile individual run/walk, a distance intentionally chosen to commemorate March 13th, the day Breonna Taylor's life was tragically taken. For those seeking a team challenge, relay options are also available, with 26 laps symbolizing each year of her life.

Conceived by Future Ancestors 502, a passionate women-led student group, the Race for Justice is more than just a physical challenge; it's a vibrant gathering designed to inspire change and support local nonprofits dedicated to justice work. The flat, accessible course within the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center provides a supportive environment for all participants. Beyond the race, the event fosters a powerful atmosphere with engaging speakers, live entertainment, and booths from various local justice organizations. Food trucks will also be on-site, adding to the community celebration.
