Race Judicata 5K

Lace up for a cause at the annual Race Judicata 5K, set to take place on Sunday, March 8, 2026, in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana. This spirited 3.1-mile charity walk/run invites participants of all skill levels to experience the picturesque grounds of Audubon Park. The course is renowned for being flat and accessible, winding through the park's beautiful scenery, ensuring an enjoyable experience for seasoned runners and casual walkers alike. Typical race day conditions in early March offer ideal running weather, with highs around 72°F and lows around 54°F, and only a 12% chance of precipitation.

More than just a race, the Race Judicata 5K is a collaborative effort hosted by the Student Bar Associations of Loyola University New Orleans, LSU, and Tulane Law Schools, uniting the community for a significant cause. All proceeds directly benefit Disability Rights Louisiana (DRLA), a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and advocating for the rights of people with disabilities across the state. Last year, the event successfully raised over $12,000 for DRLA, with an even higher goal set for 2026.

The event kicks off with check-in at 7:00 AM at Audubon Park's Pavilion #10, located at 6500 Magazine Street, leading up to the race start at 8:30 AM. Runners can expect water stations along the route to stay hydrated. After crossing the finish line, celebrate your accomplishment and mingle with fellow participants at the lively post-race reception held at the Newman Bandstand, also within Audubon Park. This event combines fitness with a powerful impact, fostering community spirit while championing a vital cause.
