RAMP River Run – 3K, 5K, & 1/2 Marathon Run

Get ready to experience the RAMP River Run on Saturday, August 15, 2026, in beautiful downtown Rockford, Illinois. This cherished annual event offers distances for every pace and ability, including a challenging Half Marathon, a brisk 5K Run, and an inclusive 3K Walk/Wheel, all while supporting RAMP, a vital local non-profit dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities. The USATF-certified courses begin at the corner of Market & Water Streets, leading participants north along the river. Half Marathoners will cross at Riverside Blvd, continuing on the west side of the river out to Sportscore before turning back, enjoying beautiful riverside views throughout. Both the 5K and Half Marathon routes are out-and-back, offering a generally flat and fast profile. Runners can expect typical race day conditions in mid-August to feature highs around 83°F and lows around 62°F, with a modest 14% chance of precipitation.

More than just a race, the RAMP River Run is a community-focused celebration. Packet pickup and race day registration take place at the Rockford City Market Pavilion, conveniently located across from RAMP's office, where indoor restrooms are available alongside outdoor port-a-johns.
