Whether you choose the 6.2-mile (10K) or the 5K distance, you'll embark on a varied terrain that begins and ends on asphalt, crosses a clay outer track, and includes approximately a mile on the grass inner-track, reminiscent of a cross-country challenge. The course is notably flat, with a minimal total ascent of just 30 feet, making it accessible for runners and walkers alike, though road shoes are recommended for the mixed surfaces.

Beyond the distinctive course, the REAL LIFE 5k/10k is known for its vibrant atmosphere and commitment to a great cause. Please note that for the safety of all participants and due to the thoroughbred track rules, strollers and dogs are not permitted on the course. The course closes at 8:00 PM, with the 10K having a two-hour cutoff and the 5K fun walk a 1-hour 25-minute cutoff.
