Offering challenging distances of approximately 66 miles for the 100K and 33 miles for the 50K, this event, now in its tenth or eleventh edition, is celebrated for its vibrant community spirit and exceptional organization. Runners will navigate the rugged Sandstone and Caroline Dormon Trails, experiencing a diverse landscape of loose and hard-packed sand, invigorating stream crossings, and a mix of climbing and descending sections, alongside long runnable stretches through towering longleaf pines. The course, which also features a picturesque jaunt alongside the Kisatchie Bayou, includes approximately 2868 feet of elevation gain per 50K loop and is primarily singletrack with rolling hills, and only one significant climb. Expect typical race day conditions with highs around 64F and lows near 43F, and a modest 16% chance of precipitation.
