Remember The Fallen 5K

Lace up for a truly meaningful experience at the 11th Annual Remember The Fallen 5K, taking place on May 16, 2026, in Sioux Falls, SD. This poignant event, hosted by the South Dakota Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 1, offers a 3.1-mile run/walk (with virtual options available) dedicated to honoring law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice and showing gratitude to those who continue to serve and protect our communities every day. Held at the conclusion of National Police Week, the race carries significant weight, commemorating Peace Officers Memorial Day.

Runners will enjoy a scenic course along the Sioux Falls Bike Trail, starting and finishing at Riverdale Park, located at 2000 E 24th Street. This flat route provides an excellent opportunity for personal bests or a comfortable walk in remembrance. Typical race day conditions for mid-May in Sioux Falls bring pleasant highs around 71F and lows around 48F, with a minimal 14% chance of precipitation, creating ideal weather for a memorable event. All participants receive an event T-shirt to commemorate their involvement.
