Rhythm of the Heart 5k Race & Walk

Lace up for the inaugural Rhythm of the Heart 5k Race & Walk on Saturday, July 25, 2026, in Loves Park, Illinois, a brand-new event designed to kick off the city's 4th annual Rhythm of the Heart Music Festival. This community-focused 5K invites runners and walkers of all ages to experience the heart of Loves Park on a scenic course. Participants will journey through historic neighborhoods, pass by the Field of Honor, admire beautiful Loves Park murals, and enjoy glimpses of the Rock River along the Rock River Recreation Path. Starting promptly at 7:30 AM CDT from Loves Park City Hall at 100 Heart Blvd, this flat and fast 5K is perfect for chasing a personal best or enjoying a leisurely walk with loved ones.

This race offers more than just a refreshing run; it's a celebration of togetherness and community vibrancy. Every step supports a wonderful cause, as 100% of registration fees will directly benefit Christmas for Kids, a local nonprofit assisting children in the Harlem School District. All participants will receive a finisher's medal, with awards presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three in various age groups.
