Riverfront Hartford 5K

The course is celebrated as fast and flat, featuring a "Bridge to Bridge" route primarily on paved trails within the Riverfront Recapture park system. Runners will begin on the Founders Bridge pedestrian path, adjacent to Mortensen Riverfront Plaza, heading east into East Hartford. The journey continues along the paved river trail through Great River Park, over the Charter Oak Bridge, and back into Hartford via Charter Oak Landing, culminating in a festive finish at Mortensen Riverfront Plaza. With an elevation gain of approximately 68 feet, this course is ideal for those seeking a personal best or a pleasant, accessible run with picturesque river views. Aid stations will provide water pre-race, post-race, and around mile 2.2, with participants encouraged to carry additional fluids.
