The Rocktown Adventure Race, set for November 7, 2026, in scenic McGaheysville, VA, invites athletes to tackle an exhilarating multi-sport challenge. While offering an ultra-distance challenge, including a 50M option, this event is a true adventure race, weaving together mountain biking, trekking, paddling, and ropes sections through the stunning landscapes of the Shenandoah Valley. Participants will navigate the beautiful single-track trails of Massanutten Resort, experiencing a course renowned for its surprising design and engaging challenges.

This USARA-sanctioned race caters to various levels of ambition with both 5-hour and 30-hour formats available, allowing competitors to earn points towards national rankings. The 5-hour race promises a fun experience, while the 30-hour race delivers significant challenges along the way, pushing endurance and skill across diverse terrains and disciplines. Typical race day conditions in early November see highs around 58°F and lows around 34°F, with a modest 12% chance of precipitation, creating a crisp and invigorating atmosphere for adventure.

After conquering the course, all racers are welcomed to the Resort Basecamp Patio area for delicious food and an awards ceremony, celebrating their accomplishments in one of Virginia's most picturesque locations.
