The 3.1-mile 5K run/walk promises a "flat and fast course" along the picturesque Legacy Trail, winding through the scenic expanse of Coldstream Park in Northwest Lexington. This makes it an ideal event for runners aiming for a personal best, as well as casual walkers looking to enjoy the beautiful Kentucky scenery. Typical race day conditions in late September offer pleasant weather, with highs around 78°F and lows around 56°F, and only a 13% chance of precipitation.

Beyond the main 5K, the event includes a lively Kid's Dash for children aged 10 and under, ensuring fun for the entire family.
