The course itself is a beautiful blend of road and flat, compact trail, guiding participants through the historic Devils Gate Dam and into the expansive Hahamongna Watershed. Start and finish lines are conveniently located just north of the Rose Bowl in the Oak Grove Park area, directly across from La Cañada High School.
More than just a race, the RUN FOR THE HEALTH OF IT is a powerful initiative by the Grandview Foundation, an organization with over 50 years of community dedication to addiction recovery. The event highlights the vital link between physical activity and mental well-being, actively involving clients, alumni, and staff in promoting healthier lives. Participants can expect well-supported aid stations, with the 2024 event providing two water stops for 10K runners and one for the 5K, alongside a first aid station staffed by a licensed doctor.

Awards will be presented for overall best times and various age categories, with additional raffle prizes adding to the festive atmosphere. Registration and packet pick-up open at 6:45 AM, with runners gathering at the starting line by 7:45 AM for an 8:00 AM race start.
