Run Hatteras 5k Road Race Series July 31, 2026

This summer series event promises a flat and fast-paced 3.1-mile course through the scenic Kinnakeet Shores, offering stunning views as you run or walk through a part of the picturesque Cape Hatteras National Seashore.

The race, kicking off bright and early at 8 AM from SUN Realty, provides a vibrant atmosphere perfect for all ages and abilities, including those with strollers. Participants can expect typical race day conditions with highs around 88°F and lows around 76°F, alongside a 19% chance of precipitation, making for an invigorating start to your Friday morning. Every finisher will be rewarded with a unique medal and a commemorative T-shirt, along with chip timing for accurate results.

After crossing the finish line, celebrate your accomplishment with a light post-race breakfast and refreshing drinks. Awards will be presented to the top three male and female overall finishers, as well as the first-place youth (14 & under) and masters (40 & over) categories. Packet pickup and race-day registration are conveniently available at the start line between 7:00 AM and 7:45 AM.
