The RUN SLC Race Series kicks off its 2026 season with an invigorating 5K race on Saturday, February 7th, in the vibrant city of Salt Lake City, Utah. This event serves as the perfect opportunity to shake off winter's chill and jumpstart your running goals for the year. Participants can anticipate a fast and flat road course, ideal for setting personal bests or simply enjoying a refreshing run. Typical race day conditions in early February present crisp air with highs around 43F and lows near 28F, accompanied by a low 5% chance of precipitation.

The 5K is the inaugural event in a progressive series hosted by the Salt Lake Running Company, designed to foster good training habits with a 10K in March and a 15K in April. All races begin promptly at 8:00 AM MST at the 700 E Salt Lake Running Company location, ensuring a timely start to your morning. On the course, runners will find well-supported water and electrolyte stations to keep them hydrated. A unique highlight of this series is the commemorative finisher's medal for each race, which combine to form one large RUN SLC Series finisher medal upon completion of all three distances.
