Lace up for the RUN SLC Race Series 10K on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in the heart of Salt Lake City, Utah. As the second event in a popular three-race series, this 10K offers the perfect opportunity to extend your post-winter mileage, build fitness, and establish strong training habits for the year ahead. Hosted by Salt Lake Running Company and sponsored by Brooks Running, the race is renowned for its well-organized experience and welcoming atmosphere.

The 10K course is celebrated for being relatively flat and smooth, with only slight grade variations, making it a fast and enjoyable route. Runners will traverse through the charming Sugar House neighborhood and downtown areas, providing a scenic tour of the city's diverse architecture and vibrant streetscapes. While the course is not entirely closed to traffic, Salt Lake City Police Department officers are on hand to direct vehicles, ensuring a safe running environment. Aid stations along the course will keep you hydrated with water and electrolytes. Typical race day conditions in early March offer invigorating weather, with highs around 53°F and lows around 35°F, and only an 8% chance of precipitation, providing ideal running temperatures.

Starting promptly at 8 AM from the Salt Lake Running Company at 2454 S 700 E, the event features a lively start and finish line area with post-race snacks, drinks, music, a raffle for running gear, and an awards ceremony. Participants receive a finisher's medal for the 10K, and those completing the entire RUN SLC series will find their 5K, 10K, and 15K medals uniquely combine to form a special series finisher award. While in-person participation is encouraged for awards, a virtual option is also available. Remember to pick up your packet the Friday before the race, as there is no race day packet pickup.
