Run Through Central Park

Lace up for the 20th Annual Run Through Central Park 5K on Sunday, February 8, 2026, in the vibrant city of Plantation, Florida. This milestone event offers a flat and fast out-and-back course, making it ideal for runners aiming for a personal best or simply a scenic morning run. Participants will enjoy a picturesque journey through the tree-lined streets of Plantation, around the beautiful lake within Central Park, culminating in an exhilarating finish on the track. Typical race day conditions in early February often feature comfortable lows around 60°F, warming to highs of 77°F, with only a 10% chance of rain, promising excellent running weather.

Beyond the inviting course, the Run Through Central Park 5K holds special distinction this year as it proudly hosts the USATF Florida State 5K Open and Masters Championship for 2026. Runners of all levels will be celebrated with a finisher medal, and early registrants are guaranteed a stylish long-sleeve tech tee. Trophies are awarded to overall, masters, and age group winners, with special Police Officer Awards also presented.
