RUN WITH LIONS 5K

Embrace the charm of central New Jersey's horse country at the 18th annual Run with Lions 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run on Saturday, May 2, 2026. Starting and finishing at the picturesque Cream Ridge Winery, this event offers a unique opportunity to run, walk, or push a stroller through scenic paved country roads, enjoying the beautiful surroundings. This "Run with Lions" event is known for its moderate course and is held on Kentucky Derby Day, adding a touch of celebratory spirit to your run. After crossing the finish line, celebrate your accomplishment with lively music and complimentary wine tastings for those of legal drinking age, generously provided by Cream Ridge Winery. Typical race day conditions in early May feature comfortable highs around 70°F and lows around 46°F, with a modest 17% chance of precipitation, creating ideal running weather.

Beyond the scenic course and post-race festivities, the Run with Lions 5K is deeply rooted in community support. Organized by the Allentown Lions Club Foundation, proceeds benefit the Allentown (NJ) Food Pantry, Trenton Rescue Mission, and Trenton Area Soup Kitchen, with an on-site food drive also welcoming non-perishable donations. All participants receive a commemorative t-shirt, and awards are presented to the top male and female 5K finishers, as well as the top three in various 10-year age groups.
