Lace up for an inspiring journey at the Sandia Resort & Casino 2026 Run to Break the Silence, set for Sunday, April 19, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This exceptional event offers participants a choice of a challenging 10K Trail Run, a scenic 5K Trail Run/Walk, or a fun-filled 1K Kids Fun Run featuring an age-appropriate obstacle course. Starting and finishing at the far east parking lot of the Sandia Resort & Casino, runners will navigate an all-terrain cross-country course through the captivating foothills of the Sandia Mountains. Expect "some hills" along the way, with the 5K course featuring an elevation gain of 217 feet and the 10K boasting 327 feet, all while enjoying the stunning mountain backdrop. Typical race day conditions in mid-April offer pleasant weather, with highs around 72°F and lows around 44°F, and only a 2% chance of precipitation, providing ideal running conditions.

Beyond the beautiful scenery and invigorating challenge, the Run to Break the Silence stands out for its profound purpose. All proceeds directly benefit the Presbyterian Ear Institute's School for Oral Deaf Education, empowering deaf and hard-of-hearing children to listen, learn, and speak.
