Shamrockin' Run

Lace up for the 12th annual Shamrockin' Run on Saturday, April 11, 2026, in Austin, MN, an engaging event perfect for the whole family. Hosted by the Pacelli Booster Club, this run embraces its namesake with the shamrock as its mascot, fostering a spirited and welcoming atmosphere for participants of all ages. Runners can choose between a chip-timed 5K race or a 1-mile fun walk, both kicking off at 10 AM on a paved course that winds through the charming streets of Austin. The course is noted for its flat elevation, offering a scenic and accessible experience for both seasoned runners and casual walkers. For those unable to join in person, a virtual 5K option is also available, allowing support for the cause from anywhere.

Anticipate typical race day conditions with highs around 53°F and lows near 33°F, alongside a modest 14% chance of precipitation, making for potentially crisp and invigorating running weather. Early registrants are rewarded with a commemorative t-shirt and a goodie bag, and the top three male and female finishers in each age category for the in-person 5K will receive awards immediately following the race. Packet pick-up is conveniently located at Pacelli Catholic Schools, 311 4th Street NW, on Friday, April 10th, from 4:30 PM to 6 PM, with an additional opportunity on race day starting at 8:30 AM.
