This premier event, organized by the Youngstown Marathon Foundation, offers a unique point-to-point Half Marathon (13.1M) experience, a fun 2-Mile Run/Walk, and a complimentary Kids Run designed for youngsters 12 and under. The Half Marathon kicks off at Second Sole in Boardman, guiding runners through the stunning, rolling landscapes of Mill Creek Park before culminating in a lively downtown finish on Federal Street at the popular Penguin City Brewery. The 2-Mile event is an out-and-back course centered entirely in downtown Youngstown, starting and finishing near Penguin City, making it accessible for all participants.

The Half Marathon course is entirely paved and renowned for its scenic beauty, winding alongside creeks and lakes, with sections offering a "tunnel of trees" feel within Mill Creek Park. Runners should be prepared for a "very hilly course" with an elevation gain between 500-600 feet, including some descents steep enough to require careful navigation. Throughout the Half Marathon, participants will find robust support, with water available at miles 2, 3.6, 5.8, 8, 10, and 12, and Gatorade and gels provided at miles 5.8, 8, and 10. Restrooms, medical support, and a helpful cycle crew also enhance the runner experience. Typical race day conditions in late May offer comfortable highs around 76°F and lows around 53°F, with an approximately 18% chance of precipitation, providing a generally pleasant running environment.
