Gear up for the legendary SPECIALIZED CACTUS CUP, Arizona's original mountain bike stage race, returning stronger than ever on March 13-15, 2026, in the stunning McDowell Mountain Regional Park, Fountain Hills, AZ. Since 1991, this iconic event has served as the ultimate season opener, celebrated for its unique blend of challenging competition and a lively, family-friendly atmosphere. Typical race day conditions in mid-March offer ideal riding weather, with highs around 76°F and lows near 52°F, and a minimal 4% chance of precipitation, ensuring fast-paced action under the desert sun.

The 2026 edition features an exciting new 2-day format packed with racing across pristine desert trails. Riders can choose from a variety of distances and formats, including the challenging XC 40-Mile Big Loop and an exhilarating XC 20-Mile Sprint, along with the Mini Cup options (25-Mile and 20-Mile Sprint). The course itself is a highlight, encompassing smooth, flowy sections alongside rocky climbs and descents, all set against a backdrop of "spicy climbs amidst the Saguaro cactus and wildflowers".
