Known for some of the best single-track in the Triangle Area, this event offers a challenging yet incredibly fun experience for mountain bikers of all abilities. The course features smooth, twisty, and flowing single-track trails complemented by short, punchy hill climbs, ensuring a dynamic ride without extensive long ascents. Starting with a quarter-mile stretch of wide gravel road, open fields, and double-track, racers will quickly transition into the renowned Harris Lake single-track, which boasts stunning lake views and offers optional ride-arounds for technical features, making it accessible for everyone from beginners to experts.

With a diverse range of distances—1M, 3.5M, 7M, 10M, 16M, and 22.5M—the Sprocket Fuel MTB Race caters to every skill level across its 34 distinct age and skill-based classes, including an Adapted Class for recumbent trick or handcycle competitors. Racers will tackle 1 to 3 laps of a 6.3-mile main course (north of County Park Drive) or a less technical 3.4-mile shortened lap (south of County Park Drive), with specific combinations determining the total distance for each class. Aid stations are strategically placed approximately every six miles for longer races and at the finish line, providing water, Gatorade, and essential first-aid, along with a bike pump to keep you rolling.
