Hosted by the enthusiastic Sassquad Trail Running community, this popular event offers distances for every runner, including a 50K, 25K, 10K, 5K, and even a Kids 1 Mile race. This "Sassquad OG event" has grown significantly since its unofficial start in 2017 with just 30 participants, consistently selling out in recent years.

The course, nestled within the beautiful South Mountain Reservation, features a dynamic 5K loop that blends mellow carriage roads with technical singletrack, complete with roots and rocks, making it an excellent introduction to trail running. Each loop presents approximately 289-300 feet of elevation gain, including a rocky half-mile descent and a 100-foot climb. Participants will find the aid station, known for its "Trail Magic" and a wide array of hot food, snacks, water, and Skratch Hydration, including gluten-free and vegan options, conveniently located at the start/finish area, accessible on every loop.
