Steps for Stegman

Lace up for a cause at the Steps for Stegman, an inspiring 5K and 1-mile run/walk taking place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, in Topeka, Kansas. Hosted by Jardine Elementary, this uplifting event honors their Instructional Coach, Dr. Bridget Stegman, in her brave fight against ALS. Participants will enjoy a scenic route through the welcoming neighborhood surrounding Jardine Elementary, with the 5K offering a chance to stride through the community. The 1 Mile Fun Run provides a shorter, family-friendly course that intentionally avoids crossing any streets, prioritizing child safety and making it perfect for all ages. Over the past four years, the Steps for Stegman event has raised an impressive $19,850, with all proceeds benefiting the ALS Association, Mid-America Chapter.
