Strawberry Strut

The Strawberry Strut courses begin with an energetic lap and a quarter around the courthouse square. The 5K route then takes runners and walkers through town streets before turning back to the finish line at Wabash and S. Madison. For those tackling the 5 Mile, the course offers a picturesque journey along Carthage Lake and past the golf course, including an ascent up the locally renowned "infamous dump hill" for a rewarding challenge. Typical race day conditions in early June see highs around 82°F and lows around 62°F, with a modest 19% chance of precipitation, providing a generally pleasant environment for a morning run.
