Summer Slam 5K

Get ready to "turn up the heat" at the Summer Slam 5K on Saturday, July 18, 2026, in Westville, Oklahoma. This exciting event offers both a 5K race and a 1-mile Fun Walk/Run, perfect for runners and walkers of all levels looking to embrace summer fitness. The festivities kick off bright and early behind Carson Community Bank, located at 121 N Williams St. The 1-mile Fun Run starts at 7:30 A.M., followed by the 5K at 8:00 A.M.. Race day registration and packet pick-up are conveniently available from 6:30 A.M. to 7:50 A.M..

Runners will navigate a USATF-sanctioned and certified course, ensuring an accurately measured race experience. Typical race day conditions in mid-July in Westville feature average highs around 90°F and lows around 67°F, with a minimal 14% chance of precipitation, making for a classic summer race atmosphere. The 5K is professionally timed by TATUR Racing, and competitive runners have the chance to earn medals for the top three male and female finishers in various age categories. All participants will receive a race shirt upon completion, while supplies last, to commemorate their achievement.
