Summer Splash 5K

Get ready for a refreshing summer run at the SUMMER SPLASH 5K on Saturday, August 8, 2026, in Richland, WA. This family-friendly event, starting at Badger Mountain Community Park, offers both a 3.1-mile (5K) race and a fun 0.5-mile Kids Splash Dash. Runners will enjoy an out-and-back course along the scenic, 12-foot-wide paved Keene Road Trail, heading east from the park and turning at Bellerive Road. The course is well-marked with chalk and cones, and traffic control volunteers will be present at road crossings to ensure a smooth and safe experience for all participants.

The Kids Splash Dash provides a delightful opportunity for younger participants, aged 10 and under, to run or walk a half-mile loop within the park's paved paths, with each finisher receiving a ribbon. Typical race day conditions in early August bring highs around 90F and lows around 61F with virtually no chance of rain, making the post-race celebration particularly inviting.
