Get ready to add a splash of vibrant fun to your calendar with the 7th Annual Sun Fun Color Run, taking place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in scenic Sequim, Washington. This highly anticipated event, a highlight of the City of Sequim's Sunshine Festival, offers a fantastic 5K (timed) and a lively 1K (untimed) option, ensuring a colorful experience for all ages and fitness levels.

The race kicks off and concludes at Carrie Blake Park, where participants will embark on a truly unique journey. The 1K fun run winds its way through the beautiful Carrie Blake Park, while the 5K follows an out-and-back course along the scenic Olympic Discovery Trail, known for its generally flat and paved terrain. What truly sets this race apart are the numerous color blast stations strategically placed along the route; the 1K features three color zones, while the 5K boasts five distinct colors and eight blast stations, promising to douse runners in a rainbow of non-toxic powder. This event is less about setting a personal best and more about enjoying a "color crazy day" filled with laughter and community spirit, whether you choose to run, walk, crawl, or cartwheel to the finish line.

Runners can expect typical race day conditions in early March, with historical highs around 50°F and lows around 33°F, and only a 6% chance of precipitation. While there will be one water station at the 5K turn-around point, participants are encouraged to bring additional hydration if needed. Each registration includes a Sun Fun Color Run T-shirt, race bib, a finisher medal to commemorate your achievement, stylish sunglasses, a colorful buff, and a starting line color blast bag to kick off your vibrant adventure. Bib pick-up is conveniently available the Friday before the race at Barhop Brewing or on race morning starting at 9:30 AM at Carrie Blake Park, where both races will have a mass start at 11:00 AM. Prepare for an unforgettable day of color, fun, and community in the beautiful setting of Sequim.
