The 5K route at Deer Grove East offers a USATF Certified Course, ensuring an accurately measured race through the scenic forest preserve. Runners can expect a picturesque setting that is both engaging and enjoyable. Typical race day conditions in late June bring highs around 81F and lows around 62F, with a modest 15% chance of precipitation, offering a generally pleasant summer morning for your heroic efforts. The event kicks off with the 5K and 1K starting at 8:30 AM, promising a lively atmosphere from the outset. Families are especially welcome, and even leashed dogs can join in on the fun, making it a truly inclusive experience for all.

Beyond the race itself, the Superhero 5K is renowned for its festive and engaging atmosphere.
