TACO FUN RUN- BAKERSFIELD

Get ready to lace up your running shoes for the inaugural TACO FUN RUN- BAKERSFIELD, happening on Saturday, August 15, 2026, in sunny Bakersfield, CA! This family-friendly event invites runners and walkers of all ages to celebrate fitness with a delicious twist. Participants can choose between a competitive 6K (3.72 miles) run, a 2-mile walk, or let the younger ones shine in the Kids Races. Kicking off bright and early at 7:00 AM PDT for the 6K/2 Mile and 6:45 AM PDT for the Kids Races, the early start aims to provide a comfortable experience, as typical race day conditions in mid-August see highs around 98F and lows around 71F with virtually no chance of rain.

The TACO FUN RUN promises a fantastic running course through Bakersfield's Yokuts Park, serving as both the start and finish line. This event stands out with its vibrant atmosphere, complete with music and plenty of fun for everyone involved. Beyond the joy of the run, participants will earn a unique finisher medal, with an additional "EXTRA medal" available through the Reyes Running Series.
