Taxiway 5K

Get ready to take flight at the Taxiway 5K, returning for its second year on February 28, 2026, in Upland, CA! This exciting 5K race offers a truly unique experience, allowing runners to traverse a generally flat and fast course that loops around Cable Airport. Participants will be treated to breathtaking mountain views and the rare opportunity to see impressive aircraft up close as they run on the airport's taxiways. While mostly flat, the course does feature some engaging twists and turns around the hangers, with clear markings and staff on hand to guide you.

The race kicks off in the afternoon at 4:30 PM, starting and finishing directly in front of the lively Mt. Baldy Brewery. Typical race day conditions for this time of year offer comfortable highs around 70°F and lows around 47°F, with a minimal 8% chance of precipitation, creating ideal running weather. A single water station will be available around the halfway point to keep you hydrated. What truly sets the Taxiway 5K apart is the incredible post-race celebration. After crossing the finish line, runners can enjoy a complimentary drink at the brewery, along with live music and delicious offerings from food trucks. Registration also includes a commemorative Taxiway 5K hat, making it a memorable event with great vibes, delicious brews, and unbeatable mountain vistas. Families can also enjoy the 800m "Kid's Takeoff Dash" earlier in the afternoon.
