The Aviation Museum of New Hampshire's Run the Rail Trail 4-Miler

This beloved run/walk event offers a compelling 4-mile course that starts and finishes at the Aviation Museum's historic 1937 terminal building, situated adjacent to the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport runway, providing a unique backdrop where participants can often spot aircraft taking off and landing.

The route promises a scenic journey through the bucolic North Londonderry area, winding along lightly-trafficked paved streets before featuring a highlight: a 1.2-mile stretch of the Londonderry Rail Trail, which meanders through the remote Little Cohas Brook Reservoir area. While the course is entirely paved, runners should be prepared for an engaging challenge, as the first mile includes a significant elevation gain followed by a steep descent. Two water stops will be available to keep participants hydrated along the way.
